Mazuri Pineapples is situated in Hluhluwe in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This demographic region produces 90% of the fresh Queen Victoria pineapples in South Africa and is a powerful growing region for the Queen Pineapple in the world.

The Farm

Mazuri Pineapples first season yielded 510 000 plants harvested with 10 permanently employed staff assisting the process. Over the next 21 years, Mazuri Pineapples expanded the operation to well over 1 000 hectares of land producing on average 10 625 000 pineapples per annum with an incredible team of 118 highly committed permanent staff members consisting of general workers, productive and efficient farm managers and conscientious administrators in the office, the hub of the operation.

Pineapple Crafted Spirits & Alcoholic Beverages

At Zululand Distillers, we craft six exceptional pineapple spirits and alcoholic drinks that capture the subtle yet vibrant flavour of pineapples, all proudly bottled under the Zululand label.

Our classic craft gins offer a delicate pineapple essence, while our brandy presents a deeper, more complex flavour, thanks to a sophisticated aging process. The whiskey boasts a unique, lightly smoked wood flavour imparted by Zululand Acacia Wood. Our pineapple liqueur is rich in tropical sweetness, with a deep aroma and a golden hue, making it perfect to enjoy on the rocks or mixed into a cocktail for an extra punch of pineapple goodness. The wine presents a unique, balanced blend of malt, wine, and wheat flavours, harmonizing beautifully to create a smooth, multi-dimensional taste.

Pineapple Cider Vinegar

Mazuri Pineapple Cider Vinegar is made on site at our Distillery, Zululand Distillers in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal from the Queen pineapples grown on our farms that are not of market quality. Juice pressing, fermenting and bottling all take place on-site maximising quality control and the smooth logistics of shipping customer orders.

Awethu Water

Awethu Water is bottled at our distillery under strict quality control procedures and is suitable for consumer plus commercial usage. Awethu Water is purified through reverse osmosis, an extensive filtration system and ozonating to remove all impurities leaving a crystal clear liquid with negligible taste.
